Google Drive folder to finished edit
Choosing and using an editorOpen the footage picker in Shorty, choose Google Drive and paste an accessible folder link. Check the folder, select the videos and review the estimate. Add the selected videos, write the brief and submit the edit when you are ready.
Shorty to CapCut or Premiere
Choosing and using an editorDownload the rendered MP4 from Shorty and import that file into your preferred editor as media. Use this for a finishing pass. The MP4 carries the visible result, not the original composition as separate editable layers.
Edit with an AI assistant
Connected workflowsShorty provides a remote MCP connector that lets a compatible client such as Claude request edits of your own footage. Connect the Shorty endpoint with OAuth, supply clips and a brief, and request a render. Shorty processes and renders the video; the chat is where you direct the workflow.
Request a focused revision
RevisionsName the moment, the change and what should stay. A targeted instruction is easier to review than a general request for improvement.
Use a reference video
Reference editingGive Shorty a reference video and your own source clips, then describe which editing traits matter: pacing, shot order, captions, transitions or color. Shorty analyzes the reference and uses your footage to build a new MP4. The reference guides the edit; its visual frames are not substituted for your footage.
Your clips to Reels and Shorts
Social videoChoose source clips that tell one short story, set a vertical canvas, and give Shorty a reference or written brief. It can assemble your footage, apply editing treatments and render a downloadable MP4. Review the output, then upload it through the destination platform yourself.
Make your first edit
Help articleAdd your clips or photos, describe the edit, and optionally add a reference video. Review the canvas and credit estimate before submitting. Shorty prepares the cut; you can review the result, request changes, and download the MP4.
Make three product-ad openings
Worked briefUse one product-footage set to explore three openings: the product, the result, or a filmed problem. Keep the demonstration, message, and ending consistent, then review each cut. These editorial briefs are ready to adapt to your clips.
Recover a saved edit
Help articleSign in to the same account and open Edits to find your submitted run and its latest status. Check that existing run before starting another edit. An unsubmitted draft and a submitted cloud job have different recovery expectations.
