How do I make my first video in Shorty?

Add your clips or photos, describe the edit, and optionally add a reference video. Review the canvas and credit estimate before submitting. Shorty prepares the cut; you can review the result, request changes, and download the MP4.

Which files should I add to a Shorty edit?

Add source video clips or supported photos that show your story. Each uploaded source video can be up to 1 GB. An optional reference can be MP4, MOV, or WebM up to 256 MB. You can also import selected videos from an accessible shared Google Drive folder.

Why does my edit look different from the reference?

A reference guides the treatment of your footage. The result also depends on the shots you supply. Identify the specific difference, check whether the footage supports your target, and request one focused revision.

How do I fix incorrect or badly placed captions?

Check captions against the source speech, then request the exact wording, timing, or placement change. Select the editable caption or title where that option is available. Review the new result for spelling and whether the text hides an important part of the picture.

Can I change one part of a finished Shorty video?

Yes. Open the edit and describe the change. In supported compositions, select an editable element to attach it to the request. Identify the scene or element, specify the change, and explain which details should stay the same.

Where is my edit after I close the tab?

Sign in to the same account and open Edits to find your submitted run and its latest status. Check that existing run before starting another edit. An unsubmitted draft and a submitted cloud job have different recovery expectations.

How do I download or recover my finished video?

Open the completed result in Edits and use its download action to save the MP4. If playback or downloading fails, reopen the existing result and try again before starting another render. Review the saved file before publishing.

Why does the cost of an AI edit vary?

Use the current pricing page, account balance, and displayed estimate to evaluate the work you submit. Include review and additional revisions when comparing the total cost of a finished video.
