No brittle chat session
Every render survives disconnects and can be resumed by run ID.
Introduce your shop through the products on its shelves. Turn store views and product close-ups into a clear invitation to explore the range.
Choose a reference for your edit.
Upload a shop overview and useful views of the categories you want featured. Describe the order and provide any exact product labels or closing message. Shorty can assemble a first cut that connects the shop to its range. Review each item and offer before sharing the promotion.
Group the products in a way that helps a visitor understand the shop. Show one clear view of each category before moving closer to individual items. A short advertisement can introduce a representative selection without claiming to show everything in stock.
Use an opening that establishes the place, then move through the selected categories. Alternate shelf views with details that explain what is available. Avoid cuts that make the packaging of one item appear to belong to another.
A lively rhythm can suit the shop, but give labels and distinctive features enough time to register. Keep the product inside the vertical crop. Ask for fewer shots when a rapid sequence makes all the items look alike.
Provide the exact invitation, offer wording and dates if they belong in the video. The footage cannot establish current stock, product benefits or a discount. For supplements or similar products, show the supplied packaging without adding unverified performance or health claims.
Check that each category is represented by the correct item and that the final invitation matches the shop. Revisit availability when reusing a video later. Use revision chat to swap a product, slow a label shot or update the supplied closing text.
Use the revision chat to explain what should change and what should stay. Select an editable element when available; objects inside a flattened clip may not be separate layers. Check the next render before delivery.
Select the categories and items that serve the message. A readable selection is more useful than many rushed views; do not describe it as the complete inventory unless that is accurate.
Supply the exact offer and applicable dates. Check the finished text and the featured products before publication.
This workflow uses the media and facts you supply. Upload missing product views and avoid claims that the source material cannot support.

Shorty is a browser-based, reference-driven AI video editor for creators, marketers and social teams. It analyses your raw video clips and either a reference video or a written editing brief, creates a shot plan, applies cuts, reframing, captions, transitions and colour treatment, then cloud-renders a downloadable MP4. If a reference contains music, its analysed soundtrack may be carried into the render.
Shorty is built primarily for social and creator video: TikTok, Instagram Reels and Feed, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, LinkedIn and X. It supports 9:16, 4:5, 3:4, 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 and cinematic 21:9 canvases.
The application is named Shorty and is published at shortyedit.com. It is operated by Tools Products FZ-LLC. Questions: Help.
Shorty is most useful when you have footage plus a clear visual target. Other editing workflows solve different jobs; the right choice depends on where the creative decisions should happen.
| Workflow | Best starting point | Choose it when |
|---|---|---|
| Shorty | Your footage plus a reference video or written brief | You want the system to infer the editing grammar and deliver a finished cut. |
| Timeline editor | Footage and a blank sequence | You want precise, frame-by-frame control over every cut, layer and effect. |
| Transcript editor | A spoken recording and its transcript | The words drive the edit and you want to cut by editing text. |
| AI clipping tool | One long recording | You want several short highlights extracted from a podcast, interview or webinar. |
| Template editor | A predefined layout or trend template | You want a repeatable design that you can customise manually. |

Yes. Request a follow-up revision and, in supported editable compositions, select an editable element for a targeted change. Review the new version before sharing. Objects flattened into source footage are not automatically separate editable layers.

No. You can upload a reference video when you want Shorty to match a specific editing style, or describe the cuts, pace, captions, mood and output you want in a written brief.
Shorty analyses visual editing characteristics such as shot structure, pacing, cuts, captions, transitions, colour treatment and aspect ratio. It creates new visuals from your footage rather than reusing the reference's video frames. When the reference contains music, its analysed soundtrack may be used in the rendered output, so you must have permission to use that audio.
Shorty supports 9:16, 4:5, 3:4, 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 and 21:9 canvases for destinations including TikTok, Instagram Reels and Feed, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, LinkedIn and X.
A traditional timeline editor gives you manual, frame-by-frame control. Shorty is reference- and brief-driven: it analyses the inputs, makes editorial decisions, and renders the finished cut. Use a timeline editor when precise manual control is the priority.
