Deadpan speed, a visual per phrase, code zoomed to the exact line and meme flashes as punchlines — the 100-seconds house style of tech YouTube. Shorty rebuilds it from your own material.
Shorty is an AI-powered video editing application for creators, marketers and social teams who publish short-form video. You bring the raw footage; Shorty does the editing work that normally takes hours in a timeline editor — choosing the strongest moments, cutting them to the beat, writing and styling captions, matching a colour grade, and exporting the finished video in the shape your reference is actually cut in — vertical 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, or 4:5, 1:1, 3:4, 4:3, 16:9 and cinematic 21:9 when the edit calls for them.
The application is named Shorty and is published at shortyedit.com. It is operated by The Interactive Company of Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Questions: marketing@shorty.ai.
You need a Shorty account to save projects and render videos. You can create one with an email magic link, or by choosing Continue with Google. The Google consent screen shown during sign-in identifies the same application, Shorty, at this domain. When you sign in with Google, Shorty receives only your basic Google profile information — your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID — and uses it solely to create and authenticate your Shorty account. Shorty does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google service data, and never sells or shares your Google account data with third parties for advertising.
Your uploaded footage stays in your own account's private storage and is used only to produce the edits you ask for. You can delete your projects and request account deletion at any time by emailing marketing@shorty.ai.

The Fireship style compresses a conference talk into a hundred seconds: flat delivery, merciless pace, and a visual for every single phrase — a zoomed code line, a diagram, a one-frame meme. Its density is the moat: manually, every sentence of script costs a screenshot hunt, a crop, and a cut. A reference edit applies that density to your own narration and screen material, so the tempo survives without the per-sentence labour.
Your narration plus screen recordings or screenshots of the thing you're explaining. Shorty cuts them to the narration's pace.
No — the format works for any dense explainer: tools, finance, science, products. The style is the tempo and framing.
Yes — screens are reframed and zoomed for 9:16, keeping the exact-line focus that makes the style readable.
Shorty is an independent AI video editing tool. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by Fireship. The name is used only to describe an editing style the way editors and tutorials commonly refer to it. Videos are always built from footage you own.
