Edit my supplied footage and images into a 35-second 9:16 MP4 first cut.
Subject: Christmas Personalized Family Ornament.
Editing task: Show exactly what is included.

Edit the unboxing of Christmas personalized family ornament. Show lettering, material and real scale, then the complete contents in one wider shot. Identify each included item from the supplied packing list.

Source checklist:
- The ornament with the supplied names.
- Separate source clips or photographs for every item or step included in the supplied scope.
- Lettering, material and real scale.
- The approved packing list, booking inclusions or workflow requirements, with extras identified separately.

Suggested sequence:
1. Identify Christmas personalized family ornament using the ornament with the supplied names.
2. Move through the confirmed included items or steps in the supplied order.
3. Pause on lettering, material and real scale to clarify the scope.
4. End with a readable summary of inclusions and separately supplied extras.

Facts and text to supply: names, year, dimensions, material and order cutoff. Use only the exact wording and facts I provide. Do not invent a price, date, discount, feature, inclusion, quotation or result. If the source does not support a required moment, identify the missing material.

Specific review check: Use the supplied year and spelling instead of adding the current year automatically.

Keep the original people, product, place and meaning of speech. Use existing audio from my selected video recordings; preserve complete words and relevant qualifications. Keep the views showing lettering, material and real scale clear of titles and preserve their real proportions. A reference guides the pacing or text style I specify, not the source imagery.

Render a first cut for me to review. I will check the sequence, facts, framing, text and sound before sharing.

Check the first cut

  • Use the supplied year and spelling instead of adding the current year automatically.
  • Can the viewer clearly inspect lettering, material and real scale?
  • Does every shown item, action and result belong to this actual product or offer?
  • Is the 35-second cut readable on a phone, with important details clear of text?

A specific revision request

Correct the included item or step I identify against my supplied inventory. Keep lettering, material and real scale visible, remove any excluded prop from the inclusion sequence and preserve the approved ending.

Review and revise the next version

Use the revision chat to explain what should change and what should stay. Select an editable element when available; objects inside a flattened clip may not be separate layers. Check the next render before delivery.

What Shorty is

Shorty is a browser-based, reference-driven AI video editor for creators, marketers and social teams. It analyses your raw video clips and either a reference video or a written editing brief, creates a shot plan, applies cuts, reframing, captions, transitions and colour treatment, then cloud-renders a downloadable MP4. If a reference contains music, its analysed soundtrack may be carried into the render.

Shorty is built primarily for social and creator video: TikTok, Instagram Reels and Feed, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, LinkedIn and X. It supports 9:16, 4:5, 3:4, 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 and cinematic 21:9 canvases.

The application is named Shorty and is published at shortyedit.com. It is operated by Tools Products FZ-LLC, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Questions: support@tools-labs.com.

How Shorty works

  1. Set the direction. Upload a short reference video when you want a specific editing style, pick a reference from Discovery, or describe the desired cuts, pace, captions, mood and destination in words. A reference is optional.
  2. Add your footage. Upload the video clips Shorty should cut from. Shorty scans them for usable moments, faces, speech, motion and visual relationships to the reference.
  3. Get the finished video. Shorty builds the edit plan, processes the footage and delivers a downloadable MP4 in the canvas you select, including vertical, portrait, square, landscape and cinematic formats.

Which AI video editing workflow should you use?

Shorty is most useful when you have footage plus a clear visual target. Other editing workflows solve different jobs; the right choice depends on where the creative decisions should happen.

Shorty AI video editor — common questions

Can I revise the finished video?

Yes. Request a follow-up revision and, in supported editable compositions, select an editable element for a targeted change. Review the new version before sharing. Objects flattened into source footage are not automatically separate editable layers.

What is Shorty?

Shorty is a browser-based AI video editor for creators, marketers and social teams. It analyses raw footage plus an optional reference video or written brief, builds an edit plan, and cloud-renders a finished MP4.

Do I need a reference video to use Shorty?

No. You can upload a reference video when you want Shorty to match a specific editing style, or describe the cuts, pace, captions, mood and output you want in a written brief.

What does Shorty copy from a reference video?

Shorty analyses visual editing characteristics such as shot structure, pacing, cuts, captions, transitions, colour treatment and aspect ratio. It creates new visuals from your footage rather than reusing the reference's video frames. When the reference contains music, its analysed soundtrack may be used in the rendered output, so you must have permission to use that audio.

Which video aspect ratios can Shorty export?

Shorty supports 9:16, 4:5, 3:4, 1:1, 4:3, 16:9 and 21:9 canvases for destinations including TikTok, Instagram Reels and Feed, YouTube Shorts, YouTube, LinkedIn and X.

How is Shorty different from a traditional timeline editor?

A traditional timeline editor gives you manual, frame-by-frame control. Shorty is reference- and brief-driven: it analyses the inputs, makes editorial decisions, and renders the finished cut. Use a timeline editor when precise manual control is the priority.

Is footage uploaded to Shorty private?

Uploaded media is stored privately to your account. Shorty uses AI service providers, including Google Gemini and Anthropic, to process reference media, footage, derived media samples, analyses and instructions as needed to plan and render the requested edit. Shorty does not use customer content to train general-purpose AI models without notice and any consent required by law. Read the AI and media processing policy.

Accounts and sign-in

You need a Shorty account to save projects and render videos. You can create one with an email magic link, or by choosing Continue with Google. The Google consent screen shown during sign-in identifies the same application, Shorty, at this domain. When you sign in with Google, Shorty receives only your basic Google profile information — your name, email address, profile picture and Google account ID — and uses it solely to create and authenticate your Shorty account. Shorty does not request access to Gmail, Google Drive, Calendar, Contacts or any other Google service data, and never sells or shares your Google account data with third parties for advertising.

Your uploaded footage stays in your account's private storage and is processed to operate, secure, support and improve the service. Shorty does not use your content to train general-purpose AI models unless it first tells you and obtains any consent required by law. You can remove uploaded assets in Shorty and request account deletion at any time by emailing support@tools-labs.com.
