Start with these source clips
This is an editorial brief to adapt, not a completed customer project. The result depends on the footage and instructions you provide.
- An establishing shot of the venue.
- Two or three clips of the activity people came for.
- A clear reaction or closing moment, plus any approved event wording.
Plan the story
| Part | Intended action | Review question |
|---|---|---|
| Opening | Establish the venue | Is the location and scale clear? |
| Middle | Show the main activity | Does the sequence represent what actually happened? |
| Ending | Use a real reaction | Does the ending feel complete without inventing an endorsement? |
Use this editing brief
Open the brief in Shorty, replace any details with your actual requirements and select your footage. Starting from the brief fills in the instruction; you choose when to submit the edit.
Make a 30-second vertical event recap. Open with a wide venue shot, build through the main activity and end on a genuine audience reaction. Keep the event name exactly as provided. Preserve complete spoken thoughts, keep music below speech and avoid repeating similar crowd shots. Use only the supplied event footage.
Make the next revision specific
Shorty supports follow-up revision requests. In supported editable compositions, you can select an editable element and describe a targeted change. Review the new version before sharing. Objects flattened into source footage are not automatically separate editable layers; the timeline is for playback and inspection rather than full manual frame-by-frame authoring.
Shorten repeated crowd shots and give the main demonstration more time. Keep the opening venue shot and the event name unchanged.
Check the finished MP4
Check event names, speaker context and people’s permissions. Confirm that the sequence does not imply an activity or reaction that the footage does not support.
Watch the downloaded file with sound and once without sound. Confirm captions, framing and the ending before publishing. Record actual time or credits only after completing your own edit.
