Some looks are worth keeping. Today you can turn a handful of references into a style, give it a name and use it again in any edit. Still images count too, and every reference video you upload is saved for next time.
Create a Style
Open the references picker and choose Create style. Give it a name, add up to 10 images or videos with a similar look, and Shorty studies what they share.
Your style then sits in the picker next to your references. Pick it for a new edit and Shorty applies that look to your footage. It borrows the style, not the subjects, logos or dialogue from your references.
Styles From Still Images
A style can start from photos, stills or design frames, not only videos. From an image, Shorty reads the look: palette, contrast, lighting, texture, framing, typography and graphic treatments. A still can’t show timing or motion, so those come from your brief, your footage and any videos in the style.
References You Keep
Upload a reference video once and it’s saved to your private project. It shows up in Your references the next time you start an edit, ready to pick again.

Music when you want it
In a finished edit without a soundtrack, ♫ Add music opens music suggestions beside the preview, with a search phrase you can copy into TikTok’s or Instagram’s music search when you post.
Good to know
Does creating a style use credits?
Creating a style analyzes each reference once, and you see the estimate before you create it. Using the style again doesn’t repeat that analysis. Editing uses credits as usual.
What can I add to a style?
Up to 10 files: JPG, PNG and WebP images up to 10 MB each, and MP4, MOV and WebM videos up to 256 MB each.
Save the look once. Use it on every edit it fits.
