Recreating a style takes a paragraph, not a sentence: the captions to match, the beat to cut on, the black bars not to add. The brief field used to stop at 600 characters. It now holds more than three times that.
The field also grows as you write, so you can read your whole brief before you send it, and it scrolls once it gets long.
Montage Bursts
When a reference fires off a rapid burst of cuts, like a second of quick close-ups, Shorty now sees each cut in it instead of one blur of motion. Your edit gets a burst of its own, built from the strongest moments in your footage.
Edit Like a Creator
New “Edit like” pages break down the editing styles of well-known creators: the pacing, the captions, the color and the sound. Each page is Shorty itself, with that style already written into the brief. Add your footage and start editing.
