A finished cut is a starting point. Today you can add new clips to it without starting over, build a single edit from up to 150 clips, and every finished edit opens ready for your next change.
Add Clips to a Finished Cut
Forgot a shot? Attach new clips with the paperclip in the Changes box and say where they belong, like “add these after the intro.” Shorty analyzes only the new footage and places it in your cut, and the clips stay part of the edit for every later change.
Images you attach still guide the look, and an audio file still becomes the soundtrack. Only the edit’s owner can add new footage.
Up to 150 Clips in One Edit
One edit can now use up to 150 clips or photos, up from 64, with up to 8 GB of footage in total. A whole event shoot fits in a single edit.
Big edits are sturdier, too. If one clip turns out to be damaged or unsupported, Shorty leaves it out and finishes the edit instead of failing it. When you bring more clips than the video has seconds, the director picks the strongest.
Every Finished Edit Opens Ready for Changes
When an edit finishes, it opens in its Changes conversation with your brief and a “Your edit is ready” reply, so you can type the next change straight away.
Press EDIT on the same clips you edited in the last day and Shorty asks first: Change the edit you already have? Request changes keeps your cut and changes only what you describe. Start a new edit makes a fresh one. Each option shows its estimated credits.
Upgrade Your Plan in Place
On a monthly plan and need more? Choose a bigger plan on the pricing page and confirm. Your card on file is charged for the new plan, your month restarts today, and its credits land on top of the ones you already have.
More in This Update
Start when you’re a little short
If an edit may need more credits than you have, Shorty tells you and lets you start anyway. If credits run out partway, the edit pauses and picks up from there once you have more.
Long briefs arrive whole
Briefs and change requests of up to 10,000 characters now reach the director in full. Past that, Shorty tells you how much to trim instead of cutting your text silently.
Your clips wait for you
Clips you pick before signing in or choosing a plan are kept on your device, ready behind Continue your edit when you come back.
