# Video editing for sales enablement

Turn approved demonstrations, product footage and recorded explanations into short videos that answer buyer questions. Brief one objection or product action, review the cut and give your sales team an approved MP4.

## Make one buyer question the brief

A useful sales video answers something a prospect is already trying to decide: how a feature works, what changes after setup, or what a workflow looks like. Select the clips that demonstrate the answer. A montage of unrelated capabilities usually makes the seller explain the video afterward.

## Choose a sales deliverable

| Deliverable | Bring | Check before sharing |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Product demonstration | Current screen recording and a clear completion state | The clicks and feature names match the product. |
| Objection answer | Approved explanation plus supporting footage | The cut preserves qualifications and does not invent a guarantee. |
| Industry example | Footage and wording approved for the specific use case | No unrelated customer is implied to endorse the product. |
| Follow-up summary | A short recorded explanation and permitted visual assets | The intended next step is visible and accurate. |

## Try an objection-answer brief

Create a 30-second 16:9 sales demonstration from my screen recording and spoken explanation. Answer only how a user completes the first setup. Keep the required clicks in order, retain qualifications in the narration and hold on the successful result. Add readable captions with the feature names exactly as supplied. Do not add customer logos, performance claims or scenes I did not provide.

## Let the product owner approve the facts

Have someone who knows the current product inspect the result. Ask for a revision if a crop hides a required control or a shortened sentence changes a qualification. Keep the approved file and its product version together so sellers know when it needs replacing.

## Reuse the lesson, adapt the delivery

A concise demonstration can support a follow-up email or internal enablement library. Produce separate versions when the audience, duration or framing changes. Shorty delivers an MP4; distribute it through your existing sales and hosting tools. CRM automation and viewer tracking are separate requirements.

## How to evaluate the workflow

Run one representative edit through its first feedback round before planning a larger rollout. Save the brief, the first output, the revision and the approved file. Record upload time, processing time, review effort and charged credits separately. A fast first render is only useful if the result can be approved.

The workflow below is a suggested use of Shorty, not a customer case study. The linked browser test shows a real product edit and timing revision; it does not establish results for every type of team or footage.

## Keep the ideas coming

### Shorty for teams

Turn approved footage into product demos, campaign cuts and short tutorials. Shorty assembles the edit from your brief or reference; your team reviews the result, requests changes and delivers the finished MP4.

### Shared projects, footage and credits

Use a Shorty business workspace to keep your team’s footage, edits and credit balance together. The owner invites members and manages billing; members work in the selected workspace.

### A consistent visual brief

Give Shorty a reusable visual brief and an optional reference so a series of edits shares the same pacing, captions and colour direction. Review each result against the approved style.

### Inspect the first cut and a precise revision

A recorded Shorty browser test: six supplied fragrance clips became a 10-second vertical film. A follow-up request changed four shot lengths from 2.5 seconds each to 2, 2, 2 and 4 seconds.

### Build a product demonstration

Keep the cause-and-effect sequence intact and use close-ups to explain the important step.

## Questions, answered.

### Does Shorty record the sales demonstration?

Supply an existing recording or footage. This workflow covers editing the material into a deliverable, not live screen capture or sales-call recording.

### Can I create different versions for different prospects?

Prepare separate briefs using approved material and audience-specific wording, then review each MP4. Do not assume automatic CRM personalization or delivery.

## Your next video starts here.

Bring the footage. Tell us the idea. Shape the edit.
