# Can I change one part of a finished Shorty video?

Yes. Open the edit and describe the change. In supported compositions, select an editable element to attach it to the request. Identify the scene or element, specify the change, and explain which details should stay the same.

## Write a revision you can check

- Identify the shot, text, or editable element.
- Describe a concrete change, such as a wider crop or corrected wording.
- Name the timing, story, or other details to preserve.
- Submit the revision and compare the new version with your request.

## What can I target?

Generated titles and captions can be editable elements in supported compositions. Text and objects already flattened into source footage are part of that video; selecting them does not automatically create separate layers.

The timeline supports playback and inspection. Plan a finishing pass in a conventional editor when you need detailed manual layer authoring.

## Example revision request

Hold the final product shot longer so its label is readable. Keep the demonstration order and caption wording unchanged.

## How do I compare versions?

Check the requested change first, then watch the surrounding sequence. A longer ending should still leave the demonstration understandable. Keep the source clips and approved wording for later handoff.

## Keep the ideas coming

### Edit your video with a text prompt: describe it, get the MP4

Yes. Upload your raw clips, write what you want in plain words (length, format, story order, captions, music, pace) and Shorty plans the cut, edits your footage and renders a finished MP4. To change something, say what should change and the rest of the edit stays. You never open a timeline.

### Full revision workflow

Name the moment, the change and what should stay. A targeted instruction is easier to review than a general request for improvement.

Explore the published Revisions launch film and learn how to turn a broad request into a focused change to an editable element.

### Plan a finishing pass

Download the rendered MP4 from Shorty and import that file into your preferred editor as media. Use this for a finishing pass. The MP4 carries the visible result, not the original composition as separate editable layers.

## Questions, answered.

### Do revisions use credits?

Editing and rendering use credits. Review the current estimate and account information before submitting more work.

### Can I move every frame manually?

The current timeline is for playback and inspection rather than full manual frame-by-frame authoring. Use revision instructions or finish in a conventional editor.

## Your next video starts here.

Bring the footage. Tell us the idea. Shape the edit.
